Overview
Home Network Lab is a self-hosted infrastructure stack that runs the household's DNS, VPN, media, and file sharing on a single hardened Linux box — and doubles as a real-world playground for networking and DevOps.
Everything is containerised and reproducible: tear it down, bring it back up from config, and it's exactly as it was. It's been the proving ground for patterns we reuse on client work.
Highlights
- Network-wide ad/tracker blocking via Pi-hole DNS.
- Encrypted remote access with WireGuard.
- Containerised Plex + Samba for media and file sharing.
- Reproducible, config-driven setup.
